Sep. 2--TAX ON AUTO LEASES: Nearly four years ago, Texas voters killed the widely despised tax on leased cars and trucks -- or so they thought.

The Texas Legislature, however, postponed implementation of the tax ban for two years and then added a "sunset" provision that forced it to go back to the Legislature this year for reconsideration.
