Washington State Businesses Fear College Cuts; Higher Education Already Lags.

Apr. 15--OLYMPIA, Wash.--As the Legislature prepares to make deep cuts in spending to fill a $2.6 billion budget gap, many Washington businesses say they're worried about funding for higher education, especially four-year universities.

Washington isn't producing enough people with college degrees, particularly in high-tech fields, business leaders say.
