University of Colorado Medical Campus, Prison Bill Clears State Senate.

Apr. 14--DENVER--The Colorado Senate voted 23-12 on Friday for a bill to finance a new $102 million penitentiary and $202 million for University of Colorado medical research buildings.

House Speaker Lola Spradley, who sponsored HB1256 with Senate Majority Leader Norma Anderson, said she intends to ask the House on Monday to concur in Senate amendments.

Gov. Bill Owens already has indicated he will sign it into law.
