Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Ready to Build New Home in Waco, Texas.

Mar. 24--It's been seven years since the Cen-Tex Hispanic Chamber of Commerce bought land in the 900 block of La Salle Avenue so it could build an office and gathering place for Hispanic business people.

That building will go up this year, said Patrick Contreras, chamber president, who made the announcement during a luncheon Tuesday at La Fiesta Restaurant and Cantina, 3815 Franklin Ave.

"I don't think I ever thought it wouldn't get built," said Contreras, owner
