Judge OKs loan to City Brewery employees.(Bankrupt brewery maintains production)(Brief Article)

Associated Press--A judge authorized a bank to loan $75,000 to a group of 39 City Brewery Co. employees, so the plant can finish about 2,500 barrels of beer and package it in bottles, cans and kegs.

La Crosse County Circuit Judge John J. Perlich, who had issued a fore-colosure judgment against the firm last month, approved the loan from the Coulee State Bank.

George Parke III, the court-appointed receiver in the case, told the judge he is very confident the brewery will be sold soon.
