Bid Deadline Nears for City-Owned Former Restaurant in Spokane, Wash.

Feb. 3--Restaurant operators hungry to lease a city-owned building at Spokane Falls have a month to submit bids.

Spokane city officials set March 4 as the deadline for proposals on a 10-year lease for the former Salty's restaurant at Spokane Falls.

The building at the northern end of the Post Street Bridge was purchased by the city for $2.78 million in 1997. Years earlier, it held a Black Angus Steak House.
