Colorado Governor Says Surge in Revenue Means Additional Cuts Unlikely.

Oct. 10-- An unexpected surge in state revenue since Colorado's budget year began on July 1 means additional cuts "are unlikely this fiscal year," Gov. Bill Owens said Thursday.

State revenues were $30.2 million above projections for the first quarter of the state's fiscal year. That included individual income tax receipts, which were $13.9 million ahead.
