WAEGWAN, Republic of Korea (NNS)--The Girl Scouts of the San Diego-Imperial Council shipped out 24,000 boxes of donated cookies May 30 to U.S. service members stationed all around the Korean peninsula.

This huge donation, dubbed Operation Thin Mint (OTM), was provided through San Diego and Imperial County residents who purchased the cookies during the annual sale from January until March 19 of this year.

"Nothing is more 'All-American' than a Girl Scout cookie," stated Chief Executive Officer of the San Diego-Imperial Council Girl Scouts, Jo Dee Jacob.
