Stethem's CO awards LSR meritorious service award.(Around NAVSUP)

CDR Charles Williams, Commanding Officer of USS Stethem (DDG 63), awarded Pete Leary, the ship's logistics support representative, with the Department of the Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Award May 11.

Leary received the award for work performed as LSR Team Two supervisor from May 2001 to May 2005. In addition to expeditiously tracking down urgently needed parts and assisting with hazardous material and waste delivery and off-load, he also provides assistance with pier-side delivery of provisions and procures Public Works assistance whenever needed.
