Rear Admiral Mark A. Young

RDML Mark A. Young, SC, USN, completed 30 years of active service and retired on July 1, 2003, after serving as Deputy Director, Defense Finance and Accounting Service. A native of Rochester, New York, RDML Young began his career in 1973 as damage control assistant on USS Koelsch (FF 1049), homeported in Mayport, Fla. In 1975, he transferred to the Supply Corps and attended the Navy Supply Corps School in Athens, Ga. He then served as supply officer aboard USS Paul Revere (LPA 248), in Long Beach, Calif.
