Captain Christopher L. Abbott United States Navy

A 1982 graduate of Virginia Military Institute, Capt. Abbott earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in civil engineering and was commissioned through the NROTC program. He reported for duty to the USS Benjamin Stoddert (DDG 22), homeported in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii in November 1982 where he served as communications officer and first lieutenant. He was designated surface warfare officer in 1983.
