TAAS Israel Industries and TRW will complete delivery of the U.S. Army's first operational pilotless plane reconnaissance system by the end of May, the Haaretz daily reported. In 1992, the two companies won a $227 million tender to supply the U.S. Army with seven Hunter systems. The largest part of the contract -- $171 million -- was for production, while $56 million was for logistics and upgrading. Each Hunter unit consists of eight pilotless planes and a control vehicle for logistical support.
