L-3 Communications (NYSE:LLL) announced today that Richard Nordstrom has been promoted to vice president of operations review. In this newly created position, Mr. Nordstrom will
continue to oversee the operational processes and program reviews of L-3's divisions and acquisition candidates, reporting to Michael T. Strianese, senior vice president of finance.Mr. Nordstrom, age 47, has over 25 years of experience in financial administration, and most recently served as L-3's director of corporate financial review. He has over 12 years of corporate management experience in audit, program financial administration and financial review with L-3 Communications and its heritage companies, including Loral and Lockheed Martin. Prior to this, Mr. Nordstrom held financial positions at Numax Electronics and Fairchild Systems.

Mr. Nordstrom received a Bachelor of Business Administration from C.W. Post College. He also received an Associate Degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York Farmingdale.
