Customers and Partners Share Industry Best Practices to
Achieve Business and Technology Goals
Creating a collaborative forum for exchanging security and IT management best practices, BindView Corp. (NASDAQ: BVEW) today announced that industry experts from its diverse customer base will lead multiple sessions at the company's annual user conference, Insight 03. Scheduled Oct. 15-17 in Las Vegas, the annual user event attracts participants from leading corporations and government agencies including FleetBoston Financial Corp., the National Security Agency (NSA), Halliburton and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) who will lead sessions on topics ranging from policy compliance, vulnerability management, migration, directory administration and IT management.
User conference attendees participate in customer-led sessions - many presented as case studies - learning first-hand how to apply industry best practices to their unique circumstances and organizations.
This year's event will also feature returning speaker Tony Sager, deputy chief, Defensive Information Operations Group Information Assurance Directory, at the National Security Agency (NSA). An attendee favorite as the keynote speaker at last year's conference, Sager will direct multiple group sessions at Insight 03, offering participants a greater opportunity for interactive and personal idea exchange.
"The pervasive and dynamic nature of the security problem means that government and private communities must work together on a shared problem," said Sager. "Bringing together hundreds of security and IT management professionals, Insight 03 provides a forum for people to collaborate and hear about new ideas to help them protect against the threats to their systems. Working together, we have both the ability and the responsibility to improve the security of our nation's information systems."

-- B&Q - the number one home improvement and garden retailer in
Europe and the third largest in the world;

"BindView helped us navigate the process when we migrated from Microsoft Exchange 5.5 to Windows 2000, and we'll demonstrate first hand our own experience and best practices."
BindView Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing Ron Rosenthal commented, "Forward-thinking security and IT management professionals understand the need to outline organization and departmental appetites for risk, and define security policies measured by their risk tolerance. Sessions led by BindView customers at Insight 03 provide attendees with information to better understand their individual organization's risk and compliance profile and take the necessary steps to minimize threats to their business-critical IT infrastructure.
