I do not disagree with Gershon Mamlak's article, "Missionary Assaults on Judaism (Part 1)" (Midstream, February/March 2001). However, the second sentence of this article, in which the author states that "Jews are now accepting Christianity of their own free will," is a fact of little importance in the current decline of Judaism.
We are not disappearing into Christianity, but rather into secularism. This is not as much of a problem in Israel where the predominant culture is Jewish. The problem for Judaism is not Christian proselytization but rat
