Milestones, inevitably, are only stones. Once passed, they disappear back into the distance, merely signs marking the passing of time. But, for the brief moment that their presence is felt, they provide a moment for reflection on the journey already traveled.
In 1968, the 15th World Diamond Congress of the World Federation of Diamond Bourses (WFDB) and the International Diamond Manufacturers Association (IDMA) was set to open in Israel. The gathering of the leadership of the global diamond industry coincided with the opening of the Shimshon building, the first structure
