Overtime Pay Proposal Would Give Some Workers Compensatory Time Option.

Aug. 16--Thousands of Hoosiers may lose the chance to earn overtime pay under a U.S. Department of Labor proposal.

However, private-sector employees soon could have the option of earning either compensatory time off -- or overtime pay -- in a proposal before Congress.

A revision of federal overtime rules by the U.S. Department of Labor would nix overtime for workers who have some office responsibilities or who make more than $65,000 a year.
