OPINION: Mecklenburg County, N.C., GOP Builds Trust with Tax Vote.

Jun. 19--At WTVI, the reality of the Mecklenburg County commissioners' budget cuts will hit home today as the station has its annual strategic planning session. WTVI lost $630,000 of $1.38 million in county contributions Tuesday out of its total $4.3 million budget.

There are other cuts, too.

Computers. Cars. The Arts & Science Council lost $540,000. Libraries lost money. But the big concern is schools, which didn't lose money but will have to educate more studen
