Missouri Governor Criticizes Polices that Threaten Medicaid.

Mar. 13--KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Missouri Gov. Bob Holden criticized the Bush administration Friday for policies that he said threatened federal funding of Medicaid and other state-run programs.

"They've got massive tax cuts they can't pay for, a war they can't pay for. They're trying to balance the budget on the backs of the states," Holden, a Democrat, said at a news conference at his Kansas City office.
