Business Gets a Boost From Mexican Election.

Vicente Fox's victory in Mexico's presidential election figures to be good news for U.S. business. It's likely to mean a firmer grip for the rule of law in Mexico, an additional shove forward for privatization and a further cementing of the benefits of free trade.

The former head of Coca-Cola in Mexico, Fox heads the conservative National Action Party (PAN). On July 2, he scored a historic win by defeating Francisco Labastida Ochoa of the ruling Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), ending the PRI's 71-year hold on the Mexican presiden
