What's in your cereal bowl?

Healthy eating messages convinced many of us to ditch the fat and switch to the lighter option of a bowlful of cereal, but new research reveals that you could be breakfasting on the same levels of sugar or salt as a chocolate bar or packet of crisps.

The research by Which? involved looking at

the nutritional content oft 275 different types of cereals from a range of retailers and manufacturers. More than three quarters (76 per cent) of the cereals had high levels of sugar, a fifth (19 per cent) had high levels of salt and 7 per cent had high levels of saturated fat.
