Propeller Cars Can Hook Young Students into Learning Science
Pitsco says its latest prop racer system brings the excitement and learning of racing to the upper elementary grades. The Elementary Prop Racer System features race cars built from laser-cut wood parts and fuelled by rubber bands and propellers instead of CO2 cartridges. After building their cars, students wind them up and race them on a floor track. The company says the activity is fun and safe while it provides the opportunity to teach science concepts such as torsion, elasticity and potential vs. kinetic energy.
