After a reception where everyone was able to meet and chat with each other, the visit continued with a nice luncheon. The group of attendees represented the Belgian and US Armies mixed with logistics, business and port representatives from Belgium and the Netherlands. The luncheon was finished with a briefing from Captain Commandant Debusschere, Artillery School Staff Officer, who explained the history of the Artillery School and the Camp of Brasschaat.

After the luncheon the group visited the Artillery Museum where Lt.Col.(Res.) Rene Beyens, Museum Curator, and some museum volunteers escorted the group on a tour through the museum. The museum displays real canons and many models of pieces of artillery from the past two centuries. Other military attributes such as uniforms, personal belongings, and pictures, etc., were nicely displayed. The museum had so much to offer that the group ran out of time to see all of the exhibits.

Thanks to the Belgian Army support, the members of the NDTA BENELUX Chapter had a successful Luncheon and Tour at the Royal Belgian Artillery School and Museum.
The challenge to bring military and civilian transporters and logisticians together at a nice location in a relaxed atmosphere was easily met!
