Care homes check-up

The response in August by the Department of Health (DH) to the recommendations on care homes by the Office of Fair Trading (OFT) delivers positive changes, but is vague and falls short of addressing the problems raised by Which?'s super-complaint.

Phil Evans of Which? said: 'Which? is extremely

concerned that DH has put off many of the OFT's recommendations. The concern is that the real reforms needed will be lost or put off indefinitely.'
