1 Office of Fair Trading www.oft.gov.uk
For: all the merger consultations, working papers, merger advice and speeches you could hope for.
Against: a profoundly ugly site and very difficult
2 Competition Commission www.competition-commission.org.uk
For: current inquiries and reports available in pdf format. The site is clearly laid out with neat links.
Against: not a lot.
3 Enterprise Act Homepage www.dti.gov.uk/enterpriseact/
For: outline of the history and development of the Act.
Against: rather neglected since the Act was passed.
4 International Competition Network www.internationalcompetitionnetwork.org/
For: new home of the international network of competition enforcers. It has quickly built up into a useful site.
Against: the name, while strictly accurate and faithful to the original, is a nightmare to type in correctly!
5 International Network of Civil Society Organisations on Competition www.incsoc.net/
For: the newly minted civil society counterpart for the International Competition Network.
Against: there is not currently a great deal on the site as the organisation is so new
