Business Definition for: task group
task group

similar to a work group, but operating within a larger organizational context. A task group is charged with the responsibility for making a specific contribution to the goals of the parent organization. Some task groups may pursue ongoing responsibilities, such as a pension review board, while others are oriented to a short-term task, such as preparing a new product proposal.
