Business Definition for: subdivider

subdivider

one who partitions a tract of land for the purpose of selling the individual plots. If the land is improved in any way, the subdivider becomes a developer .

Example: Olsen, a subdivider, purchases a 100-acre tract of land. The tract is subdivided into 5-acre plots that are marketed to investors and developers.
