Business Definition for: share draft account
share draft account
transaction account similar to a Negotiable Order Of Withdrawal Account , or NOW account, that is offered by credit unions. Members of a credit union can gain access to their share balances by writing drafts on the accounts. These check-like drafts are authorized for federally insured credit unions under the Consumer Checking Account Equity Act of 1980.
