Business Definition for: primary mouse button
primary mouse button
the button used to select objects on a mouse with more than one button. For a right-handed user, this is usually the left mouse button. The secondary mouse button is the button used to call up the action menu.
Left-handed users have the option of reversing the default order for mouse buttons; they can use the right mouse button as the primary button and the left button as the secondary.
