Critical Path Method (CPM)

technique in Program Evaluation And Review Technique (PERT) that uses a single time estimate for each activity, rather than three time estimates-optimistic, most likely, and pessimistic. The primary objective of CPM is to identify the critical path for a project.

Critical Path Method (CPM)

planning and control technique that optimizes the order of steps in a process given the costs associated with each step. Manufacturing industry uses CPM to plan and control the complete process of material deliveries, paperwork, inspections, and production.
