research whose primary objective is to test an idea or concept that has been developed. Concept testing is done to assess the effectiveness of the advertising campaign in reaching its objectives.

research whose primary objective is to test an idea or concept. Concept testing is done to assess the probability that an advertising campaign will accomplish its objectives. Marketers use concept testing to determine which new product ideas are worth pursuing before a significant investment is made in development.
