Business Definition for: commissionable
commissionable

term describing services provided by an advertising or other agency to a client for which the agency receives payment in the form of a commission from another source-for example, advertising time or space that is purchased by an advertising agency on behalf of a client and is subject to a commission. Recognized agencies (see recognition ) are given a percentage discount from the rate card by most of the media when placing advertising for clients. In these cases the rate charged for advertising time or space is said to be commissionable.
