The Rewards of Being a Franchise Consultant

Wednesday, October 17 2007

What do you feel has been one of your best franchise experiences?

As a "fee for service" franchise consultant, as opposed to a franchise broker who sells franchises, I am equally rewarded by assisting business owners seeking to franchise a business and providing franchise due diligence services for those seriously considering the purchase of a franchise.

Seeing people (and systems) perform well is, at least in my opinion, the ultimate satisfaction for a consultant in any line of work, but in franchising, the work is always fresh not only because of the interaction with new people, but the interaction with new ideas and interests. Franchising is a booming industry, but it is also a minefield of potential hazards, and helping people safely across the terrain yields tremendous satisfaction. And last, I suppose that franchising is an industry open to so many "types of people". From franchisor, to franchisee, to supplier, and employee, one's level of interest and risk acceptance or avoidance can be satisfied.
