Taco John's
Oddly enough, this Mexican food chain started in Wyoming. Taco John's has more than 400 franchised locations in nearly 30 states, mostly in the Western and Midwestern U.S. In September 2004 the company partnered with the Wyoming Department of Family Services to help distribute family education materials statewide. Taco John's commercials feature the chain's mascot, Whiplash the cowboy monkey. Taco John's, which often opens locations near military bases, was founded in 1968 by John Turner after a stint in the Air Force. The original location was a Taco House -- the first taco joint in Cheyenne, Wyoming.
