Cuban-born Vince Vazquez plans to realize his life-long dream of opening an authentic Cuban restaurant next month when he opens Vicente's Cuban Cuisine at 1250 Library St. in Detroit.

"My vision is to make Vicente's a destination for the Cuban experience,'' said Vazquez, who is targeting tax day, or April 15, as his opening day.

All of the recipes will be his mother's, and his mother will also be the head chef, Vazquez said.
