Cafe opening becomes a nightmare, owners relocate.(Beary Special Cafe)

Despite a number of setbacks, Mike and Toni Edenholm, who have been trying to open a coffee shop/cafe in downtown Everett, are still going strong.

The couple have been forced to abandon their first choice for a cafe at 1709 Hewitt Ave., (which was featured in the Nov. 2003 EBJ Births section) but now they're moving ahead with plans to put the restaurant in the former American Legion Hall space at 2818 Wetmore Ave.

"We're really excited about this place," she said. "It's just got so much potential--so much ambiance."
