How does it taste on nachos?

cheeseThat's about all we need to know about cheese.

But for some people, apparently, that's not enough. And for food snobs like that, there's now a school: the Cheese School of San Francisco.

For $150 you can enroll in the three-course Cheese 101 series, which teaches you how to care for cheese, how to make cheese, different cheese classifications and how to throw a cheese-tasting party. (Don't bother. We're busy that night.)

Or you can do some higher learning in electives like Fondue, Farmstead Cheesemaking, Ga-Ga for Goat, Raw vs. Pasteurized: Fact and Fiction, and Extreme Cheese. Or, our favorite, Cheese and Beer.

Study hard and you can get your bacheese-lor degree. (OK. Cheesy. What did you expect?)

The school was founded in 2006 by Sara Vivenzio, who quit her career in advertising to chase her dream.

She now has 15 instructors on staff. Classes attract lots of young professionals, who mingle over wine and hope to meet other single cheese-eaters. So the school has that going for it.

And this: You can honestly blame your dog for eating your homework.
