The Boulder-based publication Daily Camera reports that Boulder's Glacier Homemade Ice Cream & Gelato has reached an agreement with Shanghai-based Barony Hotels & Resorts Worldwide which will see Glacier franchised throughout China. Barony, a developer of more than 20 business and resort hotels

in China, plans to open seven Glacier locations within one year. The eight-year-old Glacier is known for selling "artisan" ice cream. This summer, five people from China will come to Boulder to train at Glacier's stores. The company reports that while it may grow in China, it will still be cautious about over-extending the Glacier brand domestically.
