NCA opens 2007 Candy Expo to snack makers.(NEWS)

VIENNA, VA -- The 2007 All Candy Expo will expand to include cookies, biscuits, nuts and other salted snacks, according to the National Confectioners Association.

The group's board of trustees voted to adopt the global definition of confectionery based on extensive research with domestic and international retailers and wholesalers.

According to NCA research, a majority of candy buyers indicate they have responsibility for snacks.
