Humanix Corp., the Spokane-based staffing-services company, is moving its headquarters into new quarters in Spokane Valley this week, but in a different location than previously planned.
The company, which places about 600 temporary workers in the Spokane-Coeur d'Alene area weekly, has leased
The company is vacating its current headquarters at 7307 N. Division, on Spokane's North Side, and moving to the Valley in order to be closer to its customer base.
Humanix disclosed plans last year to move its headquarters into a building that currently is under construction at 13224 E. Mansfield, in Spokane Valley. Prafke says, however, that the company ended up choosing a different location so it could move more quickly.
The move marks a return to the Valley for Humanix, which had operated a Valley office until early 2003, when it consolidated that operation into its North Side headquarters. At that time, the company planned to move its entire Spokane-area operation to the Valley within a few years.
Prafke says Humanix has 23 full-time employees who work at its headquarters. The company also operates an office in Coeur d'Alene, which has eight employees.
Humanix started in Spokane in 1986. In addition to temporary staffing services, Humanix offers to employers direct-hire recruiting, contingent-contract staffing, employee training, skills assessment, and human resources consulting and outsourcing.
