New in-vehicle 3G wireless Internet system demonstrated in Canada.

Nortel Networks, TELUS Mobility and Redknee.com have demonstrated a fully-operational new system that provides wireless Internet, personalised information and streaming multimedia content into cars.

Called AIME (Advanced

Intelligent Mobile Entertainment), the system is a prototype of an in-vehicle multimedia system designed to deliver mobile e-commerce, infotainment, messaging, news, traffic, weather, location-based advertising and other, user-defined services, and it was showcased as part of a live, over-the-air, cdma2000 3G wireless Internet trial being conducted by Nortel and wireless service provider TELUS in Calgary, Canada.
