Web site analyzes stocks from tax perspective

An Anchorage-based money management firm has rolled out a Web site that offers a new way to analyze investments in the stock market.

Gottstein is president of DynamicTaxOptimizer LLC, the company. that owns the Web site (www.dynamictaxoptimizer.com). The company is an offshoot of Dynamic Capital Management Inc., Gottstein's money management company, which uses sophisticated mathematical analysis to track 600 stocks and identify ones that are under-priced.

That same information is now being made available to customers who sign up for the Tax Optimizer service, but that's only part of what the Web site offers. In fact, it takes such a different approach to helping investors decide whether to hold or sell their stocks that it was awarded a patent last September, and Gottstein said more patents are forthcoming.
