Roberta Jorgensen, FAIA, Launches Jorgensen Architects

On June 1, 2005, Roberta Jorgensen, FAIA, LEED, launched Jorgensen Architects; a new professional practice offering architecture, pre-design, master planning, and interior design for clients throughout Southern California.

Jorgensen, who directed this office for 13

years as the president of another architectural firm, said that the Jorgensen Architects team is made up of the professionals whose leadership and talent have been instrumental in achieving their current success. Joining her are Jason Briscoe, AIA, principal; Hilton Hayes, AIA; Sherri Cho Haviken, AIA; Harold R. Baker, GC, CSI; Christina Bartelson, IIDA, CID; Douglas Brown; Jennifer Cram; and Marci Modesitt Padgett. The firm will continue to provide services to clients in Los Angeles, Ventura, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, and San Diego Counties from its current location in Newport Beach.

"We are enthusiastic about our new identity", says Jorgensen, "Our new organization will enable us to respond to our clients needs with personal and immediate response. The promotion of some our most senior and valued professionals to levels of increased responsibility and ownership will advance our mission to create quality environments where people can discover their own inspiration, energy, and satisfaction."

The team's recent accomplishments include the waterfront $26 million Glorietta Bay Park, City Hall and Community Center for the City of Coronado, which will open next month. Jorgensen currently serves as consulting campus architect for Cal State San Marcos, Cal State Long Beach, and Cal Poly Pomona. The firm will continue its current work providing architecture, planning and interiors services for the City of Newport Beach, City of Los Angeles, County of Ventura, Chaffey College, Los Angeles Community College District and many others.
