Vollmer Associates Names Suzanne Baumgardt, AIA, Director of Architectural Director of...

Vollmer Associates, a national architecture, engineering, landscape architecture, and planning firm, has named Suzanne J. Baumgardt, AIA, director of architectural services for New Jersey. In her new position, she will be responsible for managing architectural projects for the firm's Rochelle Park, Newark,

Eatontown, Mount Laurel, and Toms River offices.

Baumgardt has more than 11 years experience on projects requiring complex phasing and merging of multiple disciplines. Prior to joining Vollmer, she was a project manager with Rivardo Schnitser Capazzi Architects where she was responsible for the day-to-day needs of multiple educational and municipal clients.

Baumgardt has managed numerous design efforts in the New York/New Jersey metropolitan region for local school districts and government agencies. Her recent projects include a new elementary school for the Union City District; $46 million referendum for the Englewood Board of Education; a middle school addition for the Guttenberg Board of Education; life, safety and ADA improvements for the Weehawken Board of Education; the rehabilitation of three subway stations on the BMT Broadway line for New York City Transit; the Utica Avenue/Eastern Parkway subway station in Brooklyn; and the Hobart Manor renovation and restoration at William Paterson College.

Baumgardt holds a bachelor of architecture from Syracuse University and is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
