ASABE standards.

ASABE Standards--The American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) 2007 standards include the following:

* Mechanical screw jack standard-revised: ASAE $485.1 APR2007, Implemented Mounted, ScrewType Jacks replaces $485 from 2001. The revision addresses side load on

* Rural or farm electrical power-revised: ASAE EP329.2, Single-Phase Rural Distribution Service for Motors and Phase Converters revision addresses the reference revisions to the National Electrical Code (NFPA No. 70) and National Electrical Motors Association Standards Publication, Motors and Generators, NEMA MG-1)

* Rural or farm electrical power: ANSI/ASAE EP 364.3, Installation and Maintenance of Farm Standby Electrical Power, revision addresses unsafe standby generators and updates on the equipment.

* Manure storage fan ventilation standard-in development: The goal is to have an approved standard by the end of 2009 which will provide guidelines for ventilating storages before entering them for retrieval, equipment repair or maintenance operations. The standard is expected to include engineering specifications for air exchange rates, evacuation time and ventilation system configuration.
