QUEBEC--(BUSINESS WIRE)--April 7, 1997--ADS INC. (ME:AAL.A.) ADS inc. ("ADS") announces the acquisition, through its subsidiary Texel inc. ("Texel"), of a 75 percent share in E.A.T. Environment inc. ("E.A.T.") and Option Assainissement inc. ("Option").

E.A.T. is a Montreal based engineering

firm specialized in domestic wastewater treatment for small flows. Option is an equipment distributor in the same field. E.A.T. and Option are both recognized as leaders in the field of on-site wastewater treatment; they have been for several years actively involved in the development of Texel's bioreactor.

Through this deal, Texel and the vendors, Mrs. Christiane Roy and Mr. Jean-Pierre Dube, become partners in the continued activities of E.A.T. and Option. Furthermore they will introduce on the market Texel's bioreactor. This bioreactor, developed by Texel and E.A.T., constitutes a breakthrough in the field of domestic wastewater treatment for small flows.
