Sacramento, Calif.-Area Poll Shows Smog as Greatest Concern of Many Residents.

Apr. 30--From Roseville to Bakersfield, a near-daily drumbeat of bad news about air pollution has reverberated through the Central Valley.

Rising asthma rates. Obscured mountain views. Claims that the Central Valley will soon have worse air than Los Angeles.

People are paying attention. According to a poll released Tuesday of 2,000 Central Valley residents, air pollution has displaced traffic and sprawl as their leading concern.
