Propex Fabrics Inc. Completes Acquisition of SI Concrete Systems

Austell, Ga.— Propex Fabrics Inc. ("Propex") finalized its acquisition of SI Concrete Systems and SI Geosolutions ("SI") in February. With SI Concrete Systems, Propex has acquired a world leader in concrete secondary reinforcement, with more than 25 billion square feet of fiber reinforced concrete placed around the world. For more than two decades, SI Concrete Systems has demonstrated market leadership and unparalleled innovation and quality. That commitment to excellence will continue under the new Propex banner, and customers can continue to rely on Genuine Fibermesh® fibers, Novomesh® blended fibers and Novocon® steel fibers.

Ed Stanczak remains CEO and president of Propex. Headquarters will be relocated to Northern Atlanta. Joe Dana, CEO of SI, is now president of North American Operations, with its headquarters in Chattanooga, Tenn.
