Design plans unveiled for five N.O. public schools
Five public schools spread across Orleans Parish are one step closer to being renovated or rebuilt.
Options for designing the five schools were revealed during a collaborative design meeting at 8 a.m. Tuesday on the 11th floor of 601 Poydras St.
Design teams made their presentations at
The five schools selected to either undergo new construction or like-new renovations are L.B. Landry, Lake Area, Langston Hughes, Andrew Wilson, and Fannie C. Williams.
Participants in the design session include the state-run Recovery School District, architectural firm CSRS, the Federal Emergency Management Agency, environmental organization Global Green and community members.
