Just weeks after the Corps had received a favorable federal court ruling on the agency's Missouri River operations, the Corps completed a project, begun earlier this year, to restore 1,200 acres of wildlife habitat along the river.
The successful outcome for the Corps, of both the court case and restoration project, was judged significant enough by the White House to cause President Bush to issue an official comment on the two developments.
